What an Improvement Project Actually Looks Like
No vague claims. Here's what happened on two recent projects, from demolition to final finish.
Full Bathroom Remodel — Oakleaf
A homeowner in Oakleaf wanted to update a dated bathroom that had cracked floor tile, a stained fiberglass surround, and a vanity that was pulling away from the wall. They didn't want a flip-and-go. They wanted it done right, meaning the waterproofing had to be correct before any tile went up.
Build
We demolished the old surround and floor, installed red waterproofing board sealed at every seam and corner, ran new white subway tile on the walls, laid a hexagon mosaic floor, installed a new vanity and toilet, and finished with new fixtures and trim. Every waterproofing layer was inspected before tile went over it.
Result
The bathroom looks brand new and is built to last. The waterproofing is done correctly, so there's no worry about what's behind the tile. The homeowner in Oakleaf said it felt like a spa, not a renovation.
LVP Flooring Across the Main Living Area — Argyle
A family in Argyle wanted to replace the carpet in their living room, hallway, and dining area with luxury vinyl plank. They had two dogs and needed something waterproof, scratch resistant, and easy to clean. They also wanted it to look like real wood, not plastic.
Install
We removed the old carpet and padding, cleaned and leveled the subfloor, acclimated the LVP for 48 hours, then installed it with proper expansion gaps at every wall and transition. We matched transitions at the kitchen tile and the bedroom thresholds so there were no trip hazards.
Result
The main living area now has a seamless, waterproof floor that the dogs can't scratch. The homeowner in Argyle said it completely changed how the house felt, and the whole install took three days with no dust left behind.

Do you handle permits for improvement projects?
For projects that require a permit, like structural changes, electrical, or plumbing work, we coordinate the permit process with Clay County or the City of Jacksonville so everything is done to code and inspected properly. We've pulled permits for bathroom remodels in Oakleaf and deck builds in Middleburg. We'll tell you upfront if your project needs one.
How long does a typical remodel take?
It depends on scope. A full bathroom remodel usually takes one to two weeks from demolition to final finish. A kitchen backsplash can be done in a day or two. Flooring for a single room is typically two to three days. We give you a realistic timeline before we start and stick to it, so you're not living in a construction zone longer than you have to.
Do you help pick materials, or do I buy my own?
Either way works. Some homeowners in Argyle and Fleming Island prefer to pick their own tile, paint, and fixtures, and we install what they've chosen. Others want us to handle the whole thing, from material selection to installation. We're happy to recommend options that fit your budget and style.
Can you work around our schedule if we're living in the house?
